THE TOGETHER APPROACH

I appreciate every different person who sees me has their own set of life experiences, beliefs, and ideas that will shape the conversation we have, and am committed to working toward your goals as we identify options for treatment that are right for you.

I work closely with my colleagues outside of Gynaecology to try and address your needs as a whole person, and often I may not be the only person to help you along your journey. You can see some links on this website to some of my colleagues in other areas who I may request help from.

My special interest areas are chronic pelvic pain and aspects of Urogynaecology. I perform urodynamics and urinary incontinence surgery in the public hospital.

- Please note, at this time, I cannot offer sling (TVT) surgery for incontinence at Manuka Street Hospital due to the National Credentialling Framework process.

ABOUT ME

I grew up all over New Zealand as we moved frequently for my father’s job. We settled in Nelson, where I completed high school, attending both Nayland College and then Nelson College for Girls.

I completed medical school in Dunedin at the University of Otago, graduating with Distinction in 2008.

My husband and I love travelling, so we have spent time working and travelling in both Australia and New Zealand as I completed my specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Working in many different hospitals and across two countries has allowed me to learn about and understand a wide range of approaches to care for people and their families/whanau, as well as gather lots of different approaches to problem solving within my job.

Outside of work, I have three boisterous children who bring joy to my world. I enjoy spending time in nature, and learning the violin.
